RapidKL LRT Project – Transmission & SCADA System

Project Description:
RapidKL LRT is the most busy urban rail transport in KL town. Its transmission and power system is very crucial to ensure uninterrupted operation. To improve its reliability, RapidKL decided to replace copper connection to fiber optic cable operation between substation S01-S18 and P01-P18. Along with the replacement, new fiber optic connection between SCADA RTU, substation and control center will be installed.

Scope of Work:

  • To supply and install fiber optic connection solution: cables, termination box, racking for SCADA RTU, substation and control center.
  • To splice and terminate fiber connection at all station for direct connection between substation and control center, total 36 sites.
  • To test and provide fiber connectivity report on OTDR and optical power meter on all fiber optic connection at all sites

ASTRO Project – Fiber Optic Network for New Multibeam Antenna Ground Station

Project Description:
Astro is upgrading their existing system to cater for High Definition TV transmission. Thus, a new multibeam antenna has been setup at Astro Sg. Besi Head Quarter. A new outdoor cabinet that is capable to house new Fiber Optical Transceivers Subsystem, which will receive C-band downlink signals from Multibeam Antenna is required. The downlink L-band signals will then translates into optical signals which will be then transported to Lines Equipment Room via single mode armored outdoor fiber optical links. Its transmission system is very crucial. A system design with uninterrupted operation is greatly emphasized.

Scope of Work:

  • To design, fabricate, assembly, install, testing and commissioning outdoor cabinet. Assemble fiber optic transceivers subsystem inside cabinet.
  • To supply, install and testing fiber optic connection between outdoor cabinet and control room.
  • To splice, terminate, testing and commissioning all fiber connection
  • To test and provide fiber connectivity report on OTDR and optical power meter on all fiber optic connection
  • On-site testing with customer on outdoor cabinet functionality and project completion

FTTH Project – Fiber-To-The-Home High Speed Broadband Optical Network for Residential and Commercial

Project Description:
FTTH service will provide speeds of 10Mbps to 100Mbps for residential and up to 1Gbps for commercial users. The project has been rolled out by TM, Maxis and TimeDotCom. FTTH’s enormous capacity allows deployment of triple-play application services: Voice, Video, Data in one single point feasible. With such high powered capability, Malaysian will discover the ease of use with having IPTV content, Video-on-Demand entertainment, Gaming, Voice over internet protocol (VOIP) services and data applications delivered, all via the convenience of a single fiber enabled broadband connection.

Scope of Work:

  • Home Pass: To survey, design, install, testing and commissioning FTTH network plan.
  • To splice, terminate, testing and commissioning all fiber connection
  • To test and provide fiber link loss report using OTDR and OLTS on all fiber optic connection
  • Home Connect: To install and activate broadband connection-last mile for subscribers More than 20,000 home pass completed within Klang Valley & KL: Bangsar, Sri Hartamas,Mont Kiara, Ampang, Kota Damansara, KLCC Area, Damansara Perdana, Bandar Utama, Tropicana etc.
